Vacation-Ready Business

Vacation-Ready Business

Your business shouldn’t need you for every next step.

I help you document recurring work, improve handoffs, and automate suitable tasks so taking time away requires less preparation and fewer interruptions.

Business process documentation and workflow automation for small businesses.

Sound familiar?

When too much of the day still depends on you.

  • You explain the same task more than once.
  • You delegate work, then chase it or check every step.
  • Follow-ups and onboarding steps get missed.
  • Routine questions still reach you when you’re supposed to be off.
  • You’ve bought software, but the process still depends on you remembering what happens next.

Usually the work lives in your head, which makes it hard for anyone else to pick up.

What this can look like

Client onboarding, as an example.

Before

You collect details by email, create tasks by hand, remind people what’s missing, and answer the same questions.

After

One consistent intake collects the information, assigns the next steps, and gives your team a checklist. You handle exceptions instead of coordinating every step.

An illustrative example, not a client result.

How it works

Scoped to your business, one step at a time.

Every Vacation-Ready project is scoped case by case, because every business runs differently.

1

We talk first

You tell me what keeps coming back to you, and we decide together what to cover and whether this is the right fit.

2

You walk me through the work

I interview you on video, with your permission, and record the calls. If your processes are already clearly documented, this takes less of your time. If they mostly live in your head, expect to give real time here, because this is where the knowledge comes from.

3

I write it up

I turn what you told me into clear, written standard operating procedures.

4

You confirm it reflects the work

You read each procedure and correct anything that’s missing or wrong. Nothing gets built or automated until you agree it matches how the work really happens.

5

Then we improve it

We clarify handoffs and, where it makes sense, automate suitable steps, test them, and I show you how to use and maintain them.

You can also start small, with just the one process that keeps pulling you back in.

What you leave with

Something your team can actually use.

Depends on the scope we agree.

  • Clear instructions for the agreed processes.
  • Defined responsibilities and handoffs.
  • Tested automations, where they’re included.
  • Guidance for using and maintaining it all.

What we change together

Document recurring work

Walk me through a task, and I turn it into instructions someone else can follow.

Clarify handoffs

Who owns the next step, what they need, and when something should come back to you.

Simplify the steps

Find repeated effort, unnecessary steps, and places where work stalls.

Automate what suits it

Reminders, forms, notifications and information transfers, where that reduces manual work. Some things are better left with a person, and I’ll say which.

Test it, then hand it over

We check the process, and I explain how to use it, maintain it, and what to look at if something needs attention.

More than a vacation

Time away is one way to feel it.

The same clearer processes can give you room for growth, family, or whatever else needs your attention. We’ll agree up front what improvement looks like for your business, such as fewer follow-ups, fewer missed steps, or less time spent coordinating.

Tell me what keeps coming back to you

Describe it, and we’ll take it from there.

Describe the recurring task, handoff, or process you’d like help improving.
